Tomato Brigade as well as Kasturi Club organizes various events every week in each city.
1) Daily Pudhari and its Founder Dr. G. G. Jadhav, Padmashree Awardee, was champion of social justice. Before Independence the news paper had uphold the national thoughts and has supported the freedom struggle. The founder was closely associated with the father of Nation Mahtma Gandhi, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and other nation figures.
2) After independence, Daily Pudhari became advocate of soical justice. The news paper took up the issues like importance of foundation of a university in Kolhapur and new dam and roads in hilly areas. The news paper has lions share in foundation Shivaji University construction of Kalammawadi Dam and various roads in the western Ghats.
3) The news papers had supported demand of separate state for Maratha speaking community ie Maharashtra.
4) The news paper has been always supporting the cause of farmers. The news paper has led awareness campaign among farmers regarding fare prices of their produce. The news paper's Chief Editor Dr. Pratapsinh Jadhav had successfully mediated among agitating sugar cane farmers, sugar factories and the government for fare prices to their produce.
5) The news paper recently led the agitations in Kolhapur against collection toll in the internal limits of the city.
6) The news paper's stance for connecting the south Maharashtra to Konkan region through Railway has been upheld by the central government and the scheme for the same has been sanctioned.
7) The news paper has been campaigning for the development of Kolhapur as pilgrimage city which also bearing results with the state and center governments releasing various funds.
8) The news paper has always supported the cause of common people. The issues of infrastructure, sanitation, pollution, education, women's rights etc have always found prime position in its pages. Due to the news papers long standing role is one of reason for the central government sanctioning new water supply scheme for the city names as Kalmmawadi Direct Pipe Line Scheme.
